FAQ: Why is the map centered on New York? I originally wanted the map centered with the whole world in view, but the MapMe techs advised that I narrow it down to a closer location. The reason for this was because with less map markers in one area it makes for less load time. Once we have hundreds of locations it would take a very long time to load the view of the world.

HELPFUL HINT #5 Why vote and what are the stars in the lower right hand corner for? When you vote by giving our map stars it will place our map higher up on the MapMe homepage display.

HELPFUL HINT #4 When placing a "hotspot" on the map, it is best to search for the location by the actual address, rather than place the hotspot physically on the map yourself. It is usually a more accurate placement of your "hotspot" marker when you allow for the address co-ordinates to find and place it.

HELPFUL HINT #3 In order to make this the best map it can possibly be, please be sure to include a complete typed address (not just the "hotspot" pointer) AND phone number. This way someone can be absolutely sure of the address if they are using GPS, or can call the establishment before going there.

HELPFUL HINT #1 This map operates best when using Firefox as your browser. If you don't already use Firefox, you can download it for FREE here. http://tiny.cc/a7qpz FYI: Firefox is considered one of the best, and safest, browsers you can use. Any quirks you may experience are probably due to not using Firefox.
